Mark Featherstone joins to replace Adrian on lead guitar bringing a more varied and pop metal and punk pop sound along. Paul Mallinson joins on bass to replace Dave
Dave finally departs after 4 years playing together to go to Uni. He will make the occasional return after a few months to play in Stumpy JC live project
The 3rd Thok release, recorded back in Bradford with Karl Stipetic. The only recording to feature Paul on bass.
Paul leaves to go to Uni. He does not return to play but remains friends for a few years following before emigrating to New Zealand
Andys solo writing name created to archive recordings that were not fitting the current bands mould. Started recording on dual tape decks and moved to 4 tracks after meeting Andy Reid.
Andy meets Andy Reid and joins existing band the quickening, which feature Andy Reid on bass, Pete on drums, wanda on keyboard and Steve on guitar. At this point essentially Thok disband
Andy and Mark form a side project band to release their more funked up stuff whilst living together at Billingbauk with Thok having pretty much disbanded
Andy and Andy Reid leave the quickening taking Peter the drummer and are joined by Mark to reform THOK with a change of style musically.
the evil Andy Renshaw steals Andy Reid and the drummer Pete leaving the Quickening behind. They never did record the track 'So long Wanda Wardell'
Self recorded on hired 8 track gear at Stetson 1 first studio in Armley. This is essentially the birth of the Stetson studio brand
The first official pressed CD released on Mumbo Jumbo records. Initially recorded at Underground sound in Armley, the poor mixes were re-worked at Submarine Studios York before release
the postie gets on our nerves and we confuse him. bless Not an amicable split with him returning shortly after to head butt Andy at a gig (and then he ran away). Tough guy to the end!!
Carried on as a 3 piece with Drum machine, Andy , Andy & Mark Change of music style again. recorded at Submarine Studios in York
Songs that dont fit the slightly differing musical tastes of the band are recorded on 4 track continuously by Andy to later be released as 'Finger licking God'
with Mark gone, Andy and Andy decide to form a new venture on a more varied style of music and record everything they do. (good or bad!)
Mark decides the UK is not for him and leaves for 6 months in India to start his globe trotting lifestyle that he still enjoys!
After securing the business from UK greetings Kings of Jingle are formed to write and produce 14 second toons to go inside greeting cards. Much of the proceeds is used to set up Stetson1 and then Stetson 2 studio conversion and the video editing suite
although there was a transitional unreleased album (Mrs Bero) from SJC to Hank29, the first official release was to be 29 covers of Hank Williams songs, for his 29 years of life and the bands name.
