The Category Band view allows you to in effect create multiple timelines within one timeline. Each category that you add to the timeline creates a colored horizontal band.;xNLx;;xNLx;These bands are then populated with stories (or events) of the corresponding category. For example, if you were creating a timeline of the events taking place in the Middle East, you could create separate bands for the different countries: Libya, Bahrain, Syria, Egypt and so on.;xNLx;;xNLx;To use the Category Band view, go to the 'Settings' tab for your timeline and then click on the View type drop down menu and choose 'Category Bands'. You can change back to the Standard view whenever you want.;xNLx;;xNLx;Given the available space, we recommend that you limit the number of categories you create to a maximum of five. You can add more categories if you wish, but the timeline will become rather cluttered.;xNLx;;xNLx;The Banded Category view works very well with another new feature we've recently added to Tiki-Toki: equal spacing modes. Sometimes you have a lot of stories (or events) clustered in a small time period. Our Standard spacing mode struggles to display them all without them overlapping. ;xNLx;;xNLx;The solution is to use one of our two equal spacing modes. These will space our your stories (events) equally, preventing any overlap or clutter. Try this out by going to the 'Settings' tab for your timeline and selecting 'Equal Spacing 1' or 'Equal Spacing 2' from the Spacing drop down menu.;xNLx;;xNLx;We hope you have fun with these two new features.
