Since then, IHC has been supporting people with intellectual disabilities to express their creativity through art. ;xNLx;;xNLx;This timeline highlights the events, workshops and exhibitions that allows people to have their talent recognised and celebrated. Events like the IHC Art Awards provides opportunities for these artists to communicate in extraordinary ways. Plenty of evidence that pupils of the Blomfield Intellectually Handicapped Children's School and students in its sheltered workshop at Whangarei were capable of producing excellent art and craft work was provided in a recent exhibition of their work in the city.
