The Ecosystem Coldharbour Consortium brings together well-respected community organisations which have experience working with the community to deliver a range of initiatives, including violence reduction.;xNLx;;xNLx;The Consortium aims to address root causes of violence affecting young people and the community and to provide positive opportunities with a specific focus on tailored interventions. ;xNLx;;xNLx;The area of focus is Coldharbour Ward and the surrounding areas, and while the spread of this work will be fluid and inclusive, it will be focused on the ward’s largest estates of Angell Town, Loughborough and Moorlands as well as central Brixton.

Grants Launch Event

Community Truths Event
Our first face to face event, this engagement allowed the community to share concerns and come up with their own ideas to help reduce violence. 20 Total Attendees and an excellent start to the Shared Strategy effort!

Pattern The Ends - Youth Launch Event
We launched our Youth Leaders programme with this outstanding Youth Event, created by Young People. Designed to recruit local young ambassadors, the event included live music, poetry, singers, rappers, a dance group, food, and more...all provided by young people!

Youth Update
Our visionary young people have kicked off a new Youth Update channel called YPM TV! Not only will it keep our community up to date with the youth programmes but it will also feature a rotation of young people hosting, producing, shooting, and editing.

Building on our fantastic momentum to date, we held our first monthly Coffee Morning on this day at Marcus Lipton Centre. We were joined by our new Grant recipients, our new Community Consultants, members of our consortium team, and a surprise visit from local police who were keen to get involved!

Community Coffee Morning

COMMUNITY TRUTHS II - IDEAS TO ACTION
We held our 2nd general community event today as a follow-up to our first ideation even back in July. This time we were at Moorlands Estate off Somerleyton Rd and among other things, we voted on which ideas from the first event we should act on. A fantastic evening!

Coffee Morning
Our coffee mornings have become an important part of our community connection effort, allowing local residents, partners, and related organisations to meet, get updated re: the programme, and get connected with others. This month's event brought some new faces and included speed networking activities and a discussion of some of our upcoming training dates.

Power To Change - Art House Crouch End
The peace focused organisation Celebrate Life has been screening their Power To Change documentary at various venues around London and the UK. This screening in Crouch End featured Tafari, one of our youth leaders, as a panel member. He gave some wonderful guidance and feedback about working in schools with at-risk young people, the influence of music on violence and the film's impact on audiences.

Our New Youth Creative Studio
We are elated to have officially taken on BevX Design as our new website design and graphics lead! Bev is a talented young designer with big plans for the future and She has come on to lead a team of young designers in creating our own creative design studio. Their team will not only take over all graphics and web design for Ecosystem but will support other young people in providing similar services for our partners and the area in general. Welcome Bev!

Spiral's Opportunity Fest
Well known consortium member Spiral Skills partnered with Marcus Lipton and our other Ecosystem partners to host an outstanding Careers Fest this week that attracted 100s of attendees, representatives from various providers, statutory organisations, and every one in between. We've been building a powerful and mutually rewarding relationship with the MET since last summer and that relationship continues to yield big benefits. Here we are helping them assess an exciting new preventative tool that allows young people to truly experience the horrors and impact of youth violence on everyone who is affected by an incident. We have been working very closely with Angell Town residents and local partners to help this wonderful community heal and become its best version of itself. The Police & The Wellbeing Bus!
We've developed an incredible relationship with the local Police here and our 2 favourite officers arranged for us to meet with Lambeth Council to discuss using the WellBeing Bus to support residents after traumatic incidents.
