We will arrive at the hotel sometime in the afternoon. After getting checked in, you will have some time to settle into your rooms.

At the official opening ceremony, Pacemaker Finalists and FAPFA winners will be honored. San Francisco Chronicle reporter Kevin Fagan and photojournalist Brant Ward will be the keynote speakers.

From the program: "Winners of the NSPA Best of Show, NSPA Pacemakers and national individual awards will be honored at this ceremony. In addition, winners of JEA Write-off contest, Journalist of the Year scholarships, Impact Award and Aspiring Young Journalist will be recognized.You also will see a slide show of convention highlights.
