The Pearl Street Library had a Cannon Dedicated on Armistice Day
The Pearl Street Library was opened in May 5, 20151914, went through a restoration process to be updated and furnished. On Armistice Day, November 11, 1920, a German 77 cannon was placed to the left of the Grecian-style library. The cannon had been captured at the Battle of Argonne. During World War II the cannon was used for scrap.
