When people want to be President of the United States, people put his name on a piece of paper and put it in a box.
It's decided that ALL white men can vote. It doesn't matter if they own land, but they must be 21 years old.
Slavery had ended, now all men in America can vote.

The "Pledge of Allegiance" was written in hopes for any country to use it. Americans embraced the poem and put their right hand over their heart when saying it.
The women in America were getting frustrated because they weren't allowed to vote. They marched through Washington D.C. and New York to protest.
Finally, the 19th Amendment is passed, giving women the right to vote.
The United States lowers the voting age to 18.
There have been many versions of the American Flag over the years. This is the most current, it has added the last star that represents Hawaii.
