Minerva is the third born Mirabal sister.
Minerva goes to school, she meets Sinita who tells her about Trujillo and how he has done her family wrong. This changed Minerva's perspective on how she saw Trujillo.
Meets "pretty, elegant,older" Lina and Lina starts getting visits from Trujillo, eventually Trujillo moves Lina into a house by herself after getting her to be his woman.. along with all the other women he had.
Minerva and friends performed for Trujillo, Sinita pointed bow and got in trouble for it. They got scolded by the nuns for not "being obedient"
It is rumored that Minerva didn't like boys because she didn't rely show the want/need for a boy.
She goes through her papa's pockets and finds letter from Lio asking her to come to the Colombian embassy that her papa was keeping from her.. She left without telling her mother where she was going to find papa. She lets him know that she knows about his other family. Minerva ran into her father's car and later got scolded by him as well as slapped.
Minerva and her family goes to Trujillo's dance. Minerva dances with Trujillo and he feels her up.. she slaps him. The family leaves the party early.. Minerva forgets her pocket book which has her letters from Lio in it.. (She lied about knowing Lio when Trujillo asked if she did,) Minerva's papa is taken in to be questioned, Minerva and her mom try to find him but are uncertain of where he is at.
Minerva is questioned, she admits to knowing Lio and says she lied in order to not "displease" Trujillo.. Trujillo tries to make a private deal with Minerva and says all things will be forgotten if she agrees but she doesn't and they schedule a second meeting where they roll dice to decide whether Minerva gets to go to law school or if Trujillo gets what he wants and they roll a tie.
Minerva's papa is released
Studying at law school.. Mate tries to study with her..
Minerva graduates law school.. Trujillo doesn't let her get her degree.. he has tricked her.
Minerva gives her baby to Patria to keep her safe during the bomb making and revolution.
Minerva arrested.
