Typhus is a disease cause by contacting with insects like fleas or mites. Anne died form this disease is because the camp and the place she lived was dirty. Which means that there were lots of rats and mice which can carry the disease fast and affective. Also, there was no cure for typhus when Anne got affected.
I felt really great for the 21000 prisoners who lived. It's interesting that soldiers saw something unbelievable. Usually soilders sees many unbelievable stuff, but now the lowest part of the society can show something terrible to them. Also, it's kind of irony that the prisoners showed their suffer, i could not show something terrible that happened to me to others.
