June 12, 2012 -- RTSGuru.com awards Pirate101 the Best Hybrid Strategy award 2012 from E3.
June 27, 2012 - The Pirate101 Central fan site hits 2,000 members.
August 3, 2012--Pirate101 enters Closed Beta and announces a Beta key giveaway through AMD's Game Blog.
August 13-17, 2012 - Pirate101 and Wizard101 fan sites joined in the fun and gave away a combined total of 500 beta keys.
August 20, 2012 - The Pirate101 NDA was lifted! Hooray!
August 22-31, 2012 -- Boochbeard the Pirate makes a special appearance in the Pirate101 Beta and offers a quest to advance characters to level 15 automatically, so our players could get a jump start on testing higher level content.
Sept 19, 2012 -- On Talk Like a Pirate Day, Pirate101 Pre-Sale Bundles (The Boochbeard and Gandy Bundle) went up for sale. Included in the bundle were a 12-Month Pirate101 Membership, inclusion in the One Week Head Start, Skarakeet Pet, Volcano Island House, Parrot Mount, Cat Pirate Companion, Dread Pirate's Outfit, a Ruby Slicer Weapon, and -- if purcased before October 6 -- early inclusion in Beta.
September 30, 2012 -- News broke across the Internet that KingsIsle had announced the official launch dates of Pirate101 (Oct. 8 for the One Week of Head Start access and Oct. 15 for all)
October 4, 2012 -- KingsIsle briefly put Beta on hold and invited everyone in to Pirate101 for a few hours (2:00pm to 8:00 pm US Central) for a special public sneak peek of Pirate101.
October 6, 2012 -- The Beta Servers were shut down a final time as we set our sights on the official launch of Pirate101! It was also announced that Beta Players were to receive a Pioneer's Eyepatch as a thank you gift for their efforts.

October 30, 2012 -- The very first Puppet Pirates is revealed to Pirate101 fans. Puppet Pirates is our new cartoon series based around Boochbeard and Gandry. It's a one-panel humorous comic inspired by the loading screens found in Pirate101 and is to be captioned by the fans of the game.
November 5, 2012 -- The Pirate101 Test Realm becomes available for download for the first time ever.
November 8, 2012 -- The limited time offer Boochbeard Bundle retires.
9 - 11 November 2012 -- Pirate101 and Wizard101 offer a free Medal Display Case in both games for 2012 Veteran's Day.
November 2, 2012 -- The very first Pirate101 monthly newsletter is published for Pirate101 players. Inside you can find book suggestions, hints, news, and everything Pirate101 related.

March 21, 2013 -- Springtime Pets were introduced into the game as a limited time promotion in the Crown Shop to celebrate the season.
March 23, 2013 -- Pirate101 and Wizard101 Creators attended Mizuumicon to be on panels about KingsIsle's games and how to break into the game industry.
March 27, 2013 -- Eloise Merryweather arrived in all the worlds of Pirate101 and could now be found in the proximity of Prospector Zeke throughout the Spiral. For a small Crowns fee, she will allow you to transfer the Stats of one item onto the Appearance of another.
April 1, 2013 -- Pirate101 (and Wizard101) introduced the Slowpoke Sloth in the Crown Shop for April Fool's Day. The Slowpoke Sloth had "never before seen speed" . . . negative speed that is.

April 8, 2013 -- AARP begins a series of blog posts discussing the various benefits of gaming for the 50+ players. These posts featured a spotlight on both Wizard101 and Pirate101.
