You can now make the background image scroll with the timeline. Yes, you read that right - the background image can scroll! Try it out on the timeline above, and then read below to find out how to do it.
To make your background image scroll, first create a new timeline or open the timeline you would like to edit. Click on the 'Settings' tab and add a background image, if you haven't added one already.
Now click on the 'Advanced settings' button at the top of the 'Settings' tab. Scroll down to the 'General customisation' section and using the drop-down menu next to the 'BG image style' field, select 'Scrollable'. Click 'Save', and that's it!
There are a few things you can do to make the scrollable experience really shine. First of all, we recommend using landscape-oriented images. The wider an image is, the more it will scroll.
If you're not getting much of the scrolling effect, you can have Tiki-Toki increase the scale of your background image. Enter a number greater than 1 (but less than 10) in the 'BG image scale' field in 'Advanced settings'. We recommend starting with 1.25 and working up from there. You can also decrease the scale of the image by entering a number less than one (e.g., 0.8) if your image is too large.
One final touch to make the scrolling effect really pop is to turn off the stripes on the timeline. This can be done by selecting 'Hide' in the drop-down menu next to 'Timeline stripes' in 'Advanced settings'.
