This month we feature a timeline painstakingly put together by the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza about the events leading up to and following JFK's assassination.
The timeline starts with John Fitzgerald Kennedy's birth in 1917, and shows key personal events, including his service in the Navy during World War II. Once he wins the presidency in 1960, the timeline chronicles important happenings and legislation. Then it moves onto the assassination itself, covering what led up to it, and what happened afterwards.
The timeline provides a wealth of useful information, including videos, images and oral histories from the Museum's extensive archive. We really like the way they have chosen to display the timeline using Tiki-Toki's equal spacing mode. The timeline offers you the option to view it in either 2D (default view) or 3D. The author's have also included the 'Viewer control' panel (wrench symbol in bottom right) so viewers can search and filter the timeline.
It is a beautifully constructed and well-researched timeline, and worth exploring. If you know of any timelines that should be featured in the future, get in touch with us at blog@tiki-toki.com.
Thanks for reading, and enjoy exploring the timeline!
